Just like the ribcage provides structure and protection for the body, God has called women to be pillars of strength and support. Being a helpmate isn’t about standing on the sidelines—it’s about stepping in, bearing burdens, and lifting others up.
Galatians 6:2 reminds us to “bear one another’s burdens,” showing that true support is not passive but active. It requires us to be present, to listen, and to use the strength God has given us to help carry the load. Whether in our marriages, friendships, families, or communities, our role as helpmates is powerful and necessary.
Today, reflect on how you’ve used your God-given strength to support those around you. Are you actively bearing burdens or are you actively creating burdens? Is God calling you to step into this role more boldly?
